The MINI-WORKSHOPS IN TISSUE BIOREPOSITORIES, co-sponsored by the UAB CCTS and the UAB Department of Pathology’s Special Pathology Seminar, focus primarily on the use of human tissues in research.  The purpose of the workshops is to aid investigators who might use any type of tissues and/or bodily fluids in their research, as well as those who may want to understand related issueswhich may influence research results (e.g., bias).  The basics of biorepository operations will be explored so that the development of small tissue collections by investigators may be optimized and their success ensured.
